Nowadays, many schools and colleges are calculating CGPA inorder to compute the results of students by using gradepoints and grades. However, Many students have trouble calculating the CGPA and GPA correctly. Many of them still donot know difference between GPA and CGPA.

How to Calculate Grade Point?
Calculate percentage of subject divided by 9.5
For ex: If you received 60% marks in Maths, Divide 60/9.5 = 6.31
6.31 is the grade point you obtained in Maths. Input the gradepoint in the above calculator.
Below are the percentages associated to the grades achieved within CBSE schools
- A1 = 10 CGPA (95& AND ABOVE) - STATE RANKER
- A2 = 9 CGPA (85% TO 95% MARKS) - RANKER
- B1 = 8 CGPA (76% TO 84% MARKS) =DISTINCTION
- B2 = 7 CGPA (66% TO 75% MARKS) - 1ST CLASS
- C1 = 6 CGPA (55% TO 65% MARKS) - 2ND CLASS
- C2 = 5CGPA (46% TO 54% MARKS) - 3RD CLASS
- D = 4 CGPA (38% TO 45%) - JUST PASS
- E1 AND E2 = FAILED = ELIGIBLE OF IMPROVEMENT (EIOP)

How to Calculate CGPA from Grade Point?

CGPA Calculated usually with the below formula
CGPA = Overall Percentage (average % obtained from all subjects) / 9.5
or
CGPA = (Gradepoint(Subj 1)* Credits(Subj 1)) + (GP(Subj 2) * Credits(Subj 2 )) + ....

If you know percentage , you can use 1st formula
If you know gradepoints, you can use 2nd formula
With this formula CGPA is always computed between grades 1-10
